Today we celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss!  I don't know about you, but I have learned so much about life from the great doctor.  One of my favorite quotes ever is from Dr. Seuss...

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those you mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind!"

On this special day, I thought I would share some of my favorite Dr. Seuss books.

This has become one of my favorite books to read aloud to kids.  There's so much opportunity for learning and interaction.  A must for any kid's library.

Really fun (and tough) book to read to, and with, kids.  They'll love the tongue twisters!

A Seuss classic!  Plus we get to meet Thing 1 and Thing 2.

One of the books my mother read to me when I was a little girl.  It's always stuck with me.

Love, love, love this story!  I wouldn't mind vacationing in Whoville!

This is what I'm talking about with Dr. Seuss.  It's a fun story, but you learn that if you never know what you might like unless you try it!

Beautiful story about the wide wonderful world we have out there and there are opportunities all around us!  Great book to give for a graduation gift.  I also heard a great idea if you have kids just starting school.  Buy a copy and each year, have their new teacher sign it for them.  Then give it to them on graduation day!  LOVE that idea.  I'm going to hunt down my niece's previous teachers and get that done.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!!
