Every semester Clear Channel Radio looks for enthusiastic, dependable college students who want to gain real world radio experience. All internships are unpaid and applicants must receive college credit. Ramiro & Pebbles Morning Show
Daily Schedule: 5:45AM -10AM
This internship includes learning all facets of producing the "Ramiro & Pebbles Show" including research and show preparation, on-air contesting, taking and screening phone calls, and development of production elements/sound editing for the show. A positive attitude and a willingness to participate in all aspects of the show are crucial to this learning experience.
Matty in the Morning Show
Daily Schedule: 5:45AM -10AM
This internship includes learning all facets of producing the "Matty in the Morning Show" including research and show preparation, on-air contesting, taking and screening phone calls, and development of production elements/sound editing for the show. A positive attitude and a willingness to participate in all aspects of the show are crucial to this learning experience.
Matty in the Morning Show – News/Entertainment Reporting
In this position, interns will dive right into the news world learning how Billy Costa creates his News and Entertainment updates. This is a very fast paced internship that involves learning how to research news and entertainment stories via the internet, magazines, and newspapers.
Music/Programming Operations
Clear Channel’s music and program operations internship enables students to obtain a behind the scenes view of a radio station’s programming and on-air department. Interns will learn through observing and assisting on-air DJ’s during the course of a show, answering request lines, and assisting with listener questions. Interns will also learn how request statistics are tallied and how on-air contests are executed.
Web Department
Interning in the Clear Channel web department shows you what goes on behind the radio station’s websites. You will learn how to update and maintain the station websites including: Kiss 108, Jamn 945, WKOX AM, Ramiro and Pebbles, and Matty in the Morning. You will also learn how to design logo graphics, photograph events, shoot video at events, as well as other skills that are critical in keeping websites current and compelling. Potential candidates should have a curriculum which includes classes in web design.
Promotions/Marketing
Clear Channel’s marketing internship allows you to learn the “behind-the-scenes” of radio marketing. Interns will learn how to coordinate major station promotions, web promotions, daily on-air giveaways, and prize fulfillment for on-air contest. Interns will also learn all facets of the execution of station/client events and appearances. This learning process includes interacting with listener audience via telephone, e-mail, and in-person, assisting in creating and sending out press releases, and managing on-air winner databases.
Sales
Clear Channel’s sales team is looking for a college student interested in learning the basics of how a sales department functions. This position will give you insight on how a radio spot makes it on air.
Interns will learn the order process, how to create sales presentations and recaps, how to execute sales driven promotions, and the sales reporting process.
